Chiropractic Yelp Review: “Love this place! I trusted my fellow Yelpers….”

Love this place!  I trusted my fellow Yelpers because I needed a local chiropractor STAT!  I was not disappointed.  Dr. Erickson is just as great as all the other reviewers say.  Friendly, informative, gets right to the root of your issue.  I felt so much better after just one adjustment, and am feeling great after 2!  I have also seen Chris, the massage therapist twice now, and his massages are amazing!  Deep tissue – just what I needed!  As it turns out, my company actually has Dr. Parker and Chris come to our annual Employee Expo and has for years.  I highly recommend anyone in this office!  Everyone is super friendly!

Chiropractic Yelp Review: “Always been treated promptly and with detailed attention….”

The search for the perfect chiropractic office seemed virtually unattainable with my hectic schedule, until I found Dr Twombly & the kind staff at Irvine Family Health!  I have always been treated promptly and with detailed attention given to resolving my physiological, stress related issues.  There has never been a bad experience or a time that I didn’t feel a sense of relief from pain.  Every therapist is excellent and professional!  I’m grateful to have found a practice where I feel at ease and get such amazing results so quickly!

Chiropractic Yelp Review: “The chiropractor himself was so nice and explained….”

I woke up one morning with super stiff shoulders and one super droopy shoulder.  I knew I had to see a chiropractor.  Thanks to Yelpers, I found this amazing place!  I called early in the morning and they took me in immediately.  The guy that works at the front desk is super nice.  He’s the one that told me about the Yelp deal and I still have a little bit left for my next visit.

The chiropractor himself was so nice and explained everything to me.  Some things went in one ear and out the other, but it was helpful to know what was going on.  He adjusted me and my shoulders were immediately back to being normal!  For a little bit more, I got a therapeutic massage and it was the most painful massage I’ve ever gotten.  Fortunately, it helped so much.  After the massage, the chiropractor adjusted me again and then had me lie down in the back with an ice pack on my shoulders and warm blanket for my stomach to balance out the cold pack.  He was so nice!  I rested on my back for about 15 minutes and I felt amazing afterwards.

He also gave me a band and showed me some shoulder exercises to ease the tension in my muscles.  It’s been helping!  And he didn’t charge me anything!  The total for the adjustment and massage was $85, but I purchased a $50 for $100 Yelp deal, so I only spent $50 and have $15 left on my account.  Even if you don’t have a problem, it feels great to just get adjusted and massaged.  You never know!

Chiropractic Yelp Review: “Thanks to Dr. Twombly and everyone at the office….”

What a great find! You won’t be disappointed when you read all the reviews and make an appointment for Chiropractic Care at the Irvine Family Health Center.  I was in a car accident and in need of help fast.  I trusted the yelp reviews and was so glad I did.  Thanks to Dr. Twombly and everyone at the office who has had a part in my recovery, my neck and back are no longer in pain.  I’ve learned new stretches to do at home to help myself and each time I leave I feel happy that I’ve been because everyone who works there is so kind and they are genuinely interested in the patients care and well being. Help yourself and call today.

Chiropractic Yelp Review: “Dr. Twombly given me the best chiropractic care….”

I have been getting chiropractic care for about 14 years. During that time, I have switched chiropractors at least three times. If you have gotten chiropractic care as long as I have, I am sure you know what a pain it is to switch chiropractors. Dr. Twombly, by far, has given me the best chiropractic care. Unlike my last chiropractor, who adjusts me as quickly as He can so he can get to his next patient, Dr. Twombly actually spends the time and uses different adjustment technique to ensure that I go home pain free. He also has a great sense of humor, which makes the visit more enjoyable. I don’t ever see any of his patients leave without a smile on their face. His staff is pretty cool too, I usually get their adjustment and therapy package in one visit.

Chiropractic Yelp Review: “I just had the best chiropractic experience of my life….”

I just had the best chiropractic experience of my life at Irvine Family Health Center. I was a collegiate tennis player (and still play competitively) and I’ve spent the last decade wrecking my body (mtn biking accidents, totaling sport bikes, etc). I was also recently involved in a minor car accident. I’m new to the area so I popped on yelp to see what was available. Irvine Family has stellar reviews so I checked them out. After my adjustment I immediately felt better. The 15 minute deep tissue massage was also fantastic. The Dr. (I’m blanking on his name!) gave me plenty of time, was genuinely concerned about me, and fixed me right up. I’ve already referred a co-worker and I will be recommending this place to everyone else too! Much thanks!

Chiropractic Yelp Review: “Dr. Erickson is so personable and really spends time….”

Dr. Erickson is so personable and really spends time with you during your session.  He is extremely thorough and you can ask any and every question that you have!  Anytime I see him, I have immediate results!  The other big plus in the office is their front office staff, Victor!  If you are having a bad day, call him or go there!  I guarantee your day will turn to sunshine once you’ve talked to him!  So incredibly helpful!

Chiropractic Yelp Review: “Dr. Twombly patiently listened to my concerns….”

Pain is an unfortunate part of my life and I was looking for a chiropractor that had Saturday hours. The very nice receptionist said I could come in right away. He was very pleasant and professional.

I saw Dr. Twombly and he patiently listened to my concerns and pointed out in the mirror the misalignment of my hips and shoulders as a result from my scoliosis.  He adjusted my spine and then I went to another room to get muscle work done. Fernando (and Chris on a subsequent visit) did a very good job of loosening up my “back of concrete”. Afterward, Dr. Twombly adjusted my spine again. Most chiropractors won’t adjust you before AND after a massage. In addition, Dr. Erikson came in and gave my spine another adjustment. Truly exceptional chiropractors who work as a team to provide their patients with the best care.

Chiropractic Yelp Review: “Dr. Twombly really did help me feel a million times better….”

Okay so I’m a skeptic when it comes to doctors. But I had a really bad fall while ice skating and Dr. Twombly really did help me feel a million times better. Victor up at the desk is super friendly and kind. Dr. Twombly made me laugh and he has a great demeanor.  Chris was super professional with the deep tissue massage and for the first time I’m sitting normal since my accident!!! The best part is they educate you and give your mind a workout as well. I’m so grateful to everyone who helped me and look forward to my next visit!!! Thanks!

Chiropractic Yelp Review: “Dr. Twombly educated me on why I was….”

I’ve never been to a chiropractor before but my chronic neck and shoulder pain was so bad that I couldn’t turn my head or lift my arms without experiencing significant pain, so I finally decided to see one. I found this office through Yelp and I was able to get a same day appointment.

I saw Dr. Twombly and after some adjustments and massage therapy, I am now able to move without any pain.  Dr. Twombly educated me on why I was experiencing neck and shoulder pain and he taught me exercises on how to strengthen specific muscles to help prevent it.

All the staff in this office are extremely pleasant and knowledgeable and it’s very easy to make an appointment.

Chiropractic Yelp Review: “I highly recommend it in every respect….”

This really is about “as good as it gets.”  I have been going to physical therapists, massage therapists,  and receiving chiropractic treatment on and off over the decades on both coasts, and I have never been to a place where the level of professionalism is as high as this, coupled with a true community atmosphere of friendliness — I would even say kindness — throughout the entire office.

I first started going there a few years ago with a shoulder injury, and I was immediately struck by the approach of Dr. Ken Erickson, who takes a remarkably intellectual approach combined with a natural curiosity, plus a dogged determinism to get to the bottom of any given issue.  He is not only a chiropractor, but a master of what is known as Active Release Therapy, which is a remarkable set of techniques that work so very well when you “pull” this or that muscle, or joint.  He has an almost uncontrollable urge to communicate precisely what he knows — this is rare in the medical profession — and if you take an active interest in the mechanism of your body, and like to learn, you will really appreciate this approach.

I’m the kind of guy who still, at this late juncture of life,  thinks he’s not much older than his 12-year old and so I find myself crashing here and there on skateboards, or surfboards, or rock-climbing with a little too much enthusiasm – all leading to the periodic injury.  The latest escapade was a surfing accident on hard sand that resulted in an extruded disc, causing pretty severe stenosis — in English this means that disc is broken and the gel-like substance inside leaked out and up my spinal column, pinching the heck out of the main nerve.  Ouch.  Seriously.  Dr. Ken pointed me in the right direction on the very first visit, wasting not a moment, and when the MRI came back it was clear what had happened and where the pain was coming from.  I was truly debilitated – I could barely walk.

Instead of surgery I opted for what is known as spinal decompression.  This is something I had tried about a decade or so ago for mild degenerative disc disease, and it helped remarkably.  This time it has worked wonders.  Without any surgery at all — just chiropractic treatments three times a week followed by spinal decompression, I am pain free. It doesn’t seem possible – especially when you look at my MRI, but it’s true.  I feel some tightness here and there, but nothing like it was about two months ago.  I think I’m about 3/4 through the treatment, and it’s just amazing.

But outside of my own personal story, I just have to say that you cannot do better if you have typical orthopedic issues, and seek immediate, as well as long-lasting relief. With respect to the entire office itself, and the people in it — just a great group of people all around.  Everyone in the office pitches in to help people.  You can’t get better than that.  I highly recommend it in every respect.
