Overall great service. Especially cool was that they are open Saturdays.”

“From the very first appt I had with Dr Ken, I felt ‘at home’. As a health professional myself, it’s refreshing to not only speak the same language with someone who’s treating you, but to laugh the same humor is a bonus! Few doctors listen, laugh and love like Dr Ken. He has a crystal clear passion for his work and for helping others feel better by attentively exploring the body’s deficiencies and roadblocks through careful analysis of defective movement patterns and musculoskeletal imbalances. He not only ‘adjusts’, he uses Active Release Therapy to maneuver the nerves and muscles into a safe place for the bones to find their way back home to. He’s UNBELIEVABLY humble, in the sense that…I’m an X Pro soccer player and have experienced every kind of injury and trauma possible from ankle tears, to shoulder surgery, concussions and herniations. He’s constantly checking in to see how I feel and suggesting necessary ‘Goldilocks’ treatment – not too much, not too little, but juuuuuust right!
“As a current yoga teacher, and yogi of 16 years, I’ve never felt my ‘up dogs’ so free. ie – my back bends are much more open and my body is opening up in ways I could have only dreamed years ago. I’m floating into handstands with ease, my body is doing things I could have only dreamed years ago. I’ve done a combination of spinal decompression (which is how I found Irvine Spine & Sport), massage therapy and adjustments over the past 3 years. The combination of treatments vs JUST adjusting is what sets ISS apart. They have TOP NOTCH massage therapists who listen and will dig in where your body needs maneuvering, esp old injuries. Breath through it and the reward will be a flexible more functional, less painful body! 🙂
“And I’ve grown so close with Dr Ken, geeking out on the amazing innate ability of our bodies to heal, that he asked me to be a part of the team, as the in house nutritionist – specifically I’m a Functional Diagnostic Nutritionist, which means we use advanced labs to explore disfunction and imbalance in the body, from hormones to digestion, unpleasant skin to body pain, auto immune disease to IBS. These are labs not commonly offered by standard doctors, which is no surprise that Dr Ken was inclined to add this service to Irvine & Sports already exceptional level of services, staff and smiles!
“I PROMISE you, your experience will be full of smiles and a new appreciation for and awareness of your body. Twombly and Parker are dolls too, everyone here is just SO REAL! 🙂 There’s a reason why they’re nearing the hundreds of 5 star reviews! I KNOW they’ll be happy to have you, and I would too! :)”
I was in a minor bicycling accident in September of 1999. Although I did not realize it at the time, my pelvis became misaligned and insidiously strained the muscles and bones in my left hip. In December of 1999, I became unable to perform my duties as a registered nurse because of the constant pain. My hip problem was discovered and diagnosed after several months of seeing numerous doctors. Treatment included several months of physical therapy and I was able to return to work after 4 months. Because I could not withstand the physicality of being a floor nurse, I had to change job positions. In the several years that followed my injury, I grew accustomed to intermittent sharp, shooting pains that would occur without warning. I started to develop arthritic type pain that was sensitive to weather and activity; I was only 31 years old but my hip felt a lot older.
My sister has been a patient of Dr. Erickson for many years and had urged me a few times to give chiropractic care a try. For whatever reason, I never seemed to get around to it. As the frequency of my pain became worse, she reminded me once again. I found the time. Originally I saw Dr. Erickson twice a week. Within three weeks I noticed a dramatic improvement in my pain. Within six weeks, I was seeing him once a week and able to exercise without the pain that would normally follow. I was weaned off frequent visits and am now able to go eight weeks between appointments. Although this in of itself is an indication of the benefits of chiropractic care, what is even more of a statement is how I feel during the time between appointments: pain free.
It has been several years since Dr. Erickson relieved me of my excrutiating pain. Now with just periodic maintenance, I feel great ALL the time!!!
